How is it to be the sibling of someone with special needs? In this episode of the Special Needs Supermom podcast, I chat with no other than Michelle Rohr!!! A brilliant entrepreneur (like multi 6 figure brilliant) and sister of two brothers on the autistic spectrum.

Michelle and I met at a biz retreat in Florida February 2020 (a week later the world stopped) where this podcast was born. Her take on how to run a business had a major impact on how I view my business.  ‘Life is hard enough, therefore your business should be fun, should feel like your personal playground.’ This statement really hit home, because as a special needs mom I so relate to the “life is hard”. So, yes, my business should feel like fun indeed! Hence, the birth of the Special Needs Supermom Planner the Spring of 2021!

In this episode Michelle and I talk about how it was for her to grow up with two brothers on the spectrum, and how as a sibling you can sometimes provide a new perspective because you are not so on top of the case as a parent. We discuss the challenges of not having facilities nearby, leaving college to support your family and the peace of mind when your adult sibling is able to live in a facility providing all the support they need.

We also talk about how growing up with two special needs siblings has affected the choices she made in life, how it inspired her to start her business and the power of passive income.

Michelle Rohr is a wife, mom of two, and lover of all things personal development. Everything started to change for her when she committed to take 100% responsibility for her life. Now, she runs a multi 6 figure business from her zone of genius and spends her day reveling in the experience of being able to do whatever the heck she wants to do - which, she finds, is exactly what makes a woman unstoppable. One of her favorite things is giving other women the space to discover that they can want what they want without apology. The magic, Michelle says, is YOU.
