“Will You Make Room For Jesus”

Why did VWC have a year of expansion?
Have you ever heard or made the statement: “I don’t have enough room”? Can you imagine being pushed out of your own birthday party? Jesus Christ has been largely removed from Christmas. Not to mention our schools and businesses! The Holy Spirit is asking us tonight: “Will you make room for Jesus in all areas of your life”? This is our new start for the new year -2021!
Text: *Luke 2:1-7 – V.7 there was “NO ROOM” for them in the inn! ROOM = space, location, opportunity!
#1 MOTIVE
*Read Matt. 8:18-20 –V.18 Jesus wants us to live from the other side! V.19-20 we must first make room for Jesus in us before we can faithfully follow Him to the finish line! See Luke 4:28-30 drove. Read Matt. 19:16-30 - compare the rich young ruler’s heart to the disciples then V.27 question.
#2 MOTION
*Read Isa. 54:1-3 – V.2 enlarge the “PLACE”- same as “ROOM” in our text – room, spot, condition. MOTION for expansion by making room for Jesus!
#3 MEANS
*Read Luke 8:1, 11 & 15 close with V.8– (Ezek. 36:26-27) Decree: I have a “100 fold heart”!

If you plant for ten years, plant trees.
If you plant for 100 years, plant men.
If you plant for Eternity, plant the Word.
An old Professor of Biology used to hold a little brown seed in his hand. 'I know just exactly the composition of this seed. It has in it nitrogen, hydrogen and carbon. I know the exact proportions. I can make a seed that will look exactly like it. But if I plant my seed it will come to nought; its elements will be simply absorbed in the soil. If I plant the seed God made, it will become a plant, because it contains the mysterious principle which we call the 'life principle'. The Bible looks like other books. We cannot understand altogether its marvelous power. Planted in good ground it shows that it has the life principle in itself: it brings forth spiritual fruit.
