Welcome to another installment of our 30 minute anniversary show! Today we are celebrating the 45th anniversary of 1977s sports comedy “Slap Shot”.
Known as one of the greatest sports comedies of all time and credited as the inspiration for other sports comedies like Bull Durham (1988), Major League (1989), The Replacements (2000), and Semi Pro (2008), this film has become a cult classic, especially amongst hockey enthusiasts.
In this show, we do more than a movie review by delving into the lives of the cast and crew, fan theories, trivia, scene breakdowns, and anything related to the film itself. For our anniversary shows, we tighten up our presentation to bring you the most interesting aspects of the film and its legacy after 45 years.
