Guilt. It's a heavy feeling. But ... if you've ever considered yourself quick to people-please or prone to perfectionist tendencies, it might be a very familiar feeling indeed.

You might be using guilt as a way to motivate yourself to do things you think you *should* be doing or finding yourself feeling guilty for prioritising any of your own needs ...

So, let's talk about it.

In this episode of SelfKind with Erica Webb (that's me!) I'm talking about feeling guilty and what we can do to shift out of that as a default motivator and way of people-pleasing those around us.

In this episode you'll hear:
- Why acknowledging feelings of guilt can take the sting out of it
- The role of self-compassion in feeling guilty
- The difference between rules and values and why they matter
- Why control, power and coercion are effective motivators but miss the mark for self-care.
