Hey there! In today's Monday Musing episode, I'm talking about 'what is self care without self kindness?'

It's not enough to go through the motions of self care activities if it isn't underscored with self kindness? Why? Because the activities themselves matter less than the outcome. And we don't get the outcome if the actions aren't fuelled by self kindness. For a long number of years my self care attempts didn't get me very far because I was DEEPLY committed to being a martyr. It wasn't until I committed to being kind to myself that self care started to work.
