“Don’t tell them that they have lost their purpose.” I am so excited my daughter is coming home from her 18 month mission. She has been teaching and serving full time for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This episode is really mostly advice for me to help prepare as we welcome her home. First I share a few of the things that I am worried about. Then I tell you of a few warnings and advice that I learned this week that I think will be really helpful this summer. For example, a warning not to mirror her emotions. Another admonition is that she hasn’t lost her purpose. And a big tip is to make sure to be excited to listen to all of her mission experiences. I learned a lot of great ideas and am feeling confident and calm to welcome her back home.
