Season 3, Episode 9 of Malik and Jamal
This week's episode takes a deep dive into the murder of Daunte Wright, a 20 year old black man who was killed by a police officer in Minnesota.
The guys discuss the details surrounding the tragedy, and the responsibility that is constantly put on people of color when interacting with the police. At a certain point, it is exhausting to wait for justice to be served. Retroactive justice doesn't prevent the loss of life.
The team behind Malik and Jamal also want to recognize another tragic death at the hands of the police.
Adam Toledo was a 13 year old Mexican American boy that was killed by the police in Chicago. The tape of the horrendous killing was released this past week (after this episode was recorded). The Latinx community is in pain, and we stand with them.
Our hearts go out to the families of both of these victims. And every other person who has lost their life to police brutality.
