In John 1:9, John sees Jesus and says, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." All creation groans under the weight of sin and death. Jesus, on the cross, draws all the sin, wrath and hatred of the world into himself and injects new and healing life by his blood. He is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
