After taking a recording break last week to play Helldivers, we decided that we have been talking on the side about Helldivers a lot lately, so it was time to pop the cork and chat about Managed Democracy and what makes Super Earth so super.
It's also a big discussion about making a what happens when the thing you make is loved for a reason you may not have intended and a final chat about how video games are hard. Making them, testing them, and even sometimes enjoying them. So yeah, come for the discussion about Managed Democracy and Liber-Tea, and stay for the breakdown of mechanics the Ministry of Truth doesn't want you to know.
Discussed
Velcro wallets, 3D printing, L-brackets, Super Earth, Managed Democracy, 1984, Cyborgs, Starship Troopers, Not getting the joke, Zendesk, Patch notes, Shooting the glowy butt, Game balance (is hard), Chargers, An airing of grievances.

We're participarting in Extra Life 2025!
For 24 hours, beginning on November 8 at 9AM EDT, we'll be streaming some of our favorite (and farfetched) games to support the kids of Boston's Children's Hospital. Come hang out at https://www.twitch.tv/70percentcomplete and help us raise some money for the kids.
There'll be speedrunning Goldeneye, OSRS aplenty, rock and stone (probably not that kind), and space ships. You don't want to miss it!
