10. Since I decided to start a podcast on January 1st
11. I’ve had a lot of conversations with people about podcasts
12. They’ve been varied
13. Some people love podcasts
14. Some people hate them
15. And some people have never heard of them
16. But inevitably, I always say to them
17. “Why don’t you start a podcast?”
18. And they usually say
19. “ooo no, I couldn’t do that”
20. At this point, I always love digging a bit deeper and finding out why
21. Some people think they haven’t got the ability to do one, which is understandable
22. Some people think they aren’t interesting enough
23. But a lot of people just don’t want to put themselves out there
24. They’re scared of what people will think of them
25. And they’re scared of the haters
26. I always try to explain to them at this point that “haters gonna hate”
27. That no matter what you do
28. If somebody doesn’t like you
29. Or doesn’t like what you’re doing
30. People will hate you no matter what
31. You can’t please everybody
32. It’s just impossible
33. And if you try to please everybody, you just turn into somebody that nobody likes
34. It took me a long time to appreciate this
35. I’ve always been a pretty outspoken kind of person
36. But I do like pleasing people
37. I don’t want anybody to hate me
38. I try to get on with everybody, and I’m nice to anybody
39. Because of that, I don’t like thinking that there’s people out there that just won’t like me
40. Just my personality, just me being me, will annoy some people, and there’s nothing I can do about that
41. That’s exactly the same with starting a podcast, making videos, writing blog posts, or designing something
42. Everything you do will not please everybody, and there’s going to be haters out there
43. There’s people out there right now who hate you
44. For no real reason, they just can’t stand you for being you
45. And there’s nothing...
