Stephen Lloyd is a famed TV writer having written (and produced) for hit shows like How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family. His credits go far beyond that, and now he's trying his hand at something different.
Stephen has just published his first novel, 'Friend of the Devil.' I really enjoyed this book. Specifically Stephen's writing style. There's no waiting around for things to get going. The action picks right up on the first page. Stephen has a great knack for giving you the backstory while the main story is going on. I say to him in this conversation that it's kind of like a mystery within a mystery. While I'm trying to figure out what's going on with the main story, I'm also trying to dissect the characters and learn more from them.
'Friend of the Devil' is available now and it's a perfect summer read. I don't think it's classified as a YA but I'd think it's also fairly accessible for teens as well as adults.
