Reopening Ohio

Yesterday Governor Mike DeWine had a press conference to discuss reopening the state.

On May 4, manufacturing, distribution and construction operations will be allowed to resume with strict safety instructions in place. That same day, general offices can resume operations, but DeWine strongly emphasized that those who can work from home are encouraged to continue doing so.

On May 12, consumer retail and services can resume as long as facial coverings are worn by employees — with customers strongly urged to do the same.

Akron Pride Festival Cancelled

The Akron Pride Festival and Equality March will not take place this summer in line with other city events canceled because of coronavirus concerns.

The group said plans are underway for the 2021 festival.

Tracers Will Track Virus

Metro Bus Requires Masks

Summit County’s bus system said Monday that customers and employees must wear face masks beginning Wednesday to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.Face coverings “are mandatory for Metro employees and passengers,” Metro said in a news release.
