David Hampton has lived in the Greater Nashville, TN area since 1988. Behind the scenes, David was a man confronting his own alcoholism and recovery process. He began his journey into sobriety in June of 2005 which eventually led him to pursue his certification as a credentialed Certified Professional Addiction/Recovery Coach (CPRC) now working in private practice in Greater Nashville. David works closely with Nashville area treatment centers, nonprofit recovery organizations, and often speaks with faith-based recovery groups dealing with addiction recovery and spiritual belief systems.
He is also a public speaker and the author of two books, Our Authentic Selves: Reflections On What We Believe and What We Wish We Believed, and his most recent book, After the Miracle: Illusions Along the Path to Restoration. Both books speak to the unique challenges and day-to-day practices that contribute to a life of long-term sobriety. David is co-host of the weekly Positive Sobriety Podcast along with his close friend and co-host author and speaker, Nate Larkin. David is also a frequent blogger, guest, and contributor for various podcasts and addiction recovery websites.
