From cave dwelling hermit to founding 12 monasteries and writing the “Rule” for monastic life, Benedict’s holiness was hard to ignore. During the conversion of Europe in the Middle Ages his work was so influential that he later became known as the “Father of Western Monasticism”. His works and writings are still
