A sudden change of heart caused Philip to abandon the typical worldly pursuits, study for the priesthood, and go out into the streets to directly minister to anyone who would listen. Recruiting other priests to help give talks, he developed a new community that drew people to the confessional and ultimately to salvation in dramatic numbers.
