Today, Ashley and I discuss specific performance goals. What does that mean? Put simply, performance goals are the physical movements, skills, and/or events that you wish to achieve. Whether it be getting a single Strict Pull-up, Box Jump, Rope Climb, Handstand Walk, or Snatch, at some point, virtually everyone establishes a performance goal on their health and fitness journey.
Ashley and I discuss the Why, When, and How of specific performance goals. Why do performance goals matter? When is it appropriate to pursue performance goals? Do you need special, movement-specific training programs? Etc.
