Today, Ashley and I have conversation regarding the purpose of training. Specifically, we discuss the need to understand and educate yourself as to why you are pursuing specific goals, what is necessary to achieve those goals, and how to begin developing the self-awareness that is required to understand what you're actually pursuing.
If you've been training long enough, it's likely that you've evolved. Your mindset around training and nutrition may have changed, your training methodology probably changed, and your goals have definitely changed. It's okay to adopt and modify our behaviors, training, and nutritional regimens, but we need to understand the "why" behind those changes in order to determine our methods are appropriate, efficient, and effective.
