This week we’ll be reading the Bible’s seventh and eight books – Judges and Ruth. Judges is a weird, fascinating time to read about, while Ruth is a tiny book that takes place during the time of Judges, but stands so beautifully apart from it.
In the time of Judges we’ll read about a lot of people, but most of our attention will be drawn to three very important characters – Deborah, Gideon and Samson. Then, our week of reading will close with a story of grace, redemption and great hope in the book of Ruth.
