Today my special guest is Lindsay Christianson.
Lindsay Christianson has been a licensed mental health counselor for more than a decade, and she’s helped her clients be their whole selves, and grow in their lives and relationships. She’s been married, divorced, and everything in between. Her website is www.momentumtherapyservices.com, and she offers therapy services as well as an online course for divorced women.
Divorce can be such a stigmatized conversation. Lindsay and I try to shed light on this difficult decision and how to know if it is the right choice for you. Sometimes we fail to ask the important questions because we have been programmed to see divorce as a failure.
Today we look at ways that divorce can be a positive thing and the best decision for everyone involved including the children.
Esther Perel says, "The quality of your relationships determines the quality of your life." It is so true and if we are in unhealthy or toxic relationships, that can lead to severe mental health issues and instability not only for you but also for your children if you have them. Staying together is not always the best decision or the most honourable.
