Season 1, Episode 3
In Choosing Her Hustle today, we hear from ChaVonne Sampson, stepmom coach and founder of Blended Family Bliss. She is a multi-passionate entrepreneur who coaches women and provides businesses with employee satisfaction consulting. She bridges the gap between a company’s values and employee satisfaction. ChaVonne is a neural linguistic programming trainer. As a master coach and trainer in NLP, she helps content creators get their messaging together and excel at their highest potentials.
ChaVonne retired from urban planning, a career she cultivated for 20 years. There, she was a teacher, community developer, and cape-wearing director extraordinaire in a White male-dominated industry. She faced her self-imposed, limiting beliefs that she had to constantly prover herself, which always came with increases in workload. Over time, she felt burdened with conforming and hiding herself to make others feel comfortable. She wanted to stop planning vacations around meetings and other work needs. Over the span of four and a half years, she built her businesses carefully while working full-time and exited the corporate life when she had that opportunity.
Still, the trauma and remnants of corporate life affect her today. In her entrepreneurial journey, there have been some challenges, but her life now brings her “unspeakable joy”. Leticia adds that you shouldn’t start a business until you’re ready to face yourself. You can stop hiding parts of yourself and live authentically as an entrepreneur.
Several books have changed ChaVonne’s mindset, and she mentions the Bible, Marie Forleo’s Everything is Figureoutable, and The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks.
ChaVonne’s top advice: Bet on self! You’ve proven that you can do this, so do it for yourself.
What’s next for ChaVonne Sampson? She created a BonusMom Bootcamp set to begin in Spring 2022. Clients will enjoy her masterclass, a workbook, a guided journal, meditation practices, and a group call. She offers something for everyone.
