Pride has many modern sentiments attached to it such as parades, having pride in our work, taking great pride as a parent, and so on. However, the Bible is fully against pride. Why?

Key Points:

1. Pride was the first sin committed in the Bible, even before the fall of Adam and Eve in Garden of Eden.
2. Pride causes us to break the two "Great Commandments". We won't love God or others as much as we should if we love ourself too much.
3. Pride is the most natural and subtle sin of all. Even animals in the wild think of themselves first.

We should be diligent with task and take caretakers or our talents but we should not be filled with pride
