Multiple-Emmy-winning producer Chris Corbellini and Bettor Sports Network founder Matt Deutsch joined Collect This! host Alan Goldsher for a roundtable talk about the metaphorical Venn diagram in which fantasy sports intersects with card collecting.
“There are millions of hobbyists, and there are millions of fantasy football players, and being that both investing in modern cards and drafting a fantasy team have are, for the most part, an exercise in speculating what might happen on the field, it’s little wonder that the vast majority of collectors—at least the ones I know—are pretty hardcore fantasy players.”
Goldsher continued, “Chris and Matt are long-time fantasy players and pundits, as well as enthusiastic collectors, so if anybody can tie the whole thing together, it’s them.
