There’s something peaceful about lying on warm sand or standing at the edge of the water as the waves lap at your feet. But if you’ve ever stood long enough, you’ve noticed how the sand shifts beneath you with each wave. It doesn’t take much for the foundation to give way.
In this episode, we reflect on Jesus’ words in Matthew 7 about the wise man who built his house on the rock versus the foolish man who built on sand. Life offers many things that seem secure—money, possessions, even comfort—but they’re only temporary. Just like sand slipping away under your feet, these foundations cannot last.
