In this episode of The Epic Journey Podcast, Sonny and Cindy will challenge you to step into the power of assessing where you are in your relationship with each other by using analogies of the wilderness. We can find ourselves in difficult times or valleys, we can find that somewhere along the way we started walking on different paths and not heading in the same direction. We can also find ourselves aligned and unified moving forward with a shared vision and enjoying each other. Identifying where you are is HUGE in helping you make the healthy shift toward a better and stronger marriage and will encourage you to begin taking action steps in a better direction of faith and trust in Gods’ plan for your life.

You can determine where you are based on how far you’ve come or where you’ve come from, what’s happened in the past…
And for many that may really allow you to have a sense of awe and renewed thankfulness for what God has already seen you through, what you are grateful for and what God has already been doing in your marriage.
Or…. Perhaps you look back and you see yourself currently in a declining phase rather than a growth phase. That things aren’t going as well as you would like.
Now, you can also answer the question of where you are with a perspective of where you aren’t yet which you could say is a perspective looking toward the future.

Are you stopping the journey regularly for rest and recovery?
Do you know Gods unique purpose for you and your marriage?
Are you in need of restoration and stopping to refresh for supplies and equipping to prepare for the next leg of the journey?
Perhaps you’ve been climbing uphill, and you just need some oxygen to breathe life into your relationship?
Maybe that comes from the wisdom and encouragement of wise counsel?
Are you stopping and celebrating your wins and achievements along the way? Thanking God for all He’s done in your lives so far?
In each of these examples there becomes a new level of awareness, a realization of loss, an effort of searching to regain what was lost, forgiveness and humility, finding what was lost and then rejoicing and celebrating with others.
This will create action to get back on the path with God and celebrate the value of who you are and how valuable your marriage is not only to you but to God and...
