Taste the tonic on it's own
- You need to understand it's flavour too
- Start with 3
- Elderflower
- Mediterranean
- Elderflower
Now pair with the correct tonic
- Strong flavour
- A gin which which has a very strong flavour like Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger needs to be paired carefully
- Elderflower would probably be the best in this case if you want to dampen the taste a bit or choose something like an blood orange tonic for example
- Delicate gin
- Martin Miller I would pair with Mediterranean or standard tonic. Elderflower too much to overpower
