ABOUT ANNABEL GUTHERZ:
Annabel Gutherz is a singer-songwriter hailing from Montreal, Canada. Growing up in a family that encouraged exploring the arts, the 24-year-old has always been in tune with her creative spirit. As a teen, she began composing original music and lyrics as a vehicle to work through the growing pains of adolescence. Already amassing nearly 1 million streams across her repertoire, there is no doubt that Annabel Gutherz is an exciting young artist on the rise.
Annabel is a compelling storyteller; her lyrics are diaristic and perspective, instantly drawing you into her world. Combined with her honeyed melodies, distinct vocals and keen musical ear, Annabel’s songs take listeners on a heartfelt journey packed with raw honesty and emotional conviction. Fiercely committed to her craft, Annabel graduated from Berklee College of Music Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies and recently received her Masters in Songwriting at Berklee as well.
In late 2021, Annabel released her debut album, Loose Ends, a stylistically eclectic yet entirely authentic record that cathartically encapsulates life’s unfinished moments. The album was co-produced by Dominique Messier, a long time band member for Céline Dion and owner of Studio Piccolo in Montreal, Canada.
Since her album release, Annabel has continued to come into her own as an artist. She’s worked with producers like like Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, One Republic), Bleu McAuley (Demi Lovato, Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez), and Bret “Epic” Mazur (Crazy Town, Black Eyed Peas), all of which have contributed to her new, hybrid pop-rock sound. “Retrograde,” “Interstellar,” and “Saturn’s Rings” offered a glimpse into her new sonic direction, which she describes as “inspired by the late 1970s, reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac, with contemporary synthetic elements.”
