Description

Balancing the happiness of those around us with our own well-being can be challenging. Our mental and physical health should always be our top priority, even if it means adjusting our relationships. It's a balancing act to take care of ourselves while also considering the needs of others. How do we ensure that we are maintaining this balance? My guest, Emily Clay, and I talk about that and much more.

Emily is a pro-age advocate who enjoys nerding out about the longevity economy (defined as products & services for older adults) that solves problems through entrepreneurship.

With 20+ years of experience in digital media for ad tech startups and national media companies, she's skilled at strategic partnerships and creating new revenue streams.

In 2019 she was selected to speak at IIex Research Conference on"The Impact of AI in Journalism.” In 2020, she built resources during Covid to help mid-career professionals land a job or start a business called Illume Hire. The vision was to launch a career-matching platform. In 2021, she received a fellowship from RSA (Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers & Commerce), a UK social impact org. In 2022, she was recognized as a Top 10 finalist by the International Longevity Center UK for a social impact idea she presented.

When Emily isn't working, you can find her either skiing, biking, doing yoga, or painting in her encaustic art studio. You can find her on Twitter: @emilywclay, Instagram: @thisispleaseignoreus, and LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/emilywclay/
