Description

In 1663, Hendrick Schoonmaker was granted 300 acres of land as payment for his military service in the Esopus Wars (1659-1663). In fact, Saunderskill Farm is one of very few farms in the nation to receive the “Tricentennial Award” from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Join John as he sits down with 10th generation family member, Jack Schoonmaker, as they discuss over three centuries of history on Saunderskills Farm.
