Description

Did you know that the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society has 24 technical groups that are concerned with the human factors aspects of specific application areas?

One of those is the Occupational Ergonomics Technical Group (formerly Industrial Ergonomics). This TG is concerned with the application of ergonomics data and principles for improving safety, productivity, and quality of work in industry.

It concentrates on service and manufacturing processes, operations, and environments, including the design of products that form the basis of industrial employment.

Members of this TG are primarily interested in ensuring that ergonomics is effectively utilized by all sectors of the industrial work force, and that ergonomics practitioners and researchers monitor our status so high quality research is conducted and subsequently reported.
