Description

In this episode, we practiced a modified Metta meditation, in which we focused on gratitude as a source for cultivating feelings of loving kindness. Traditional loving-kindness meditation anchors our thoughts first on ourselves, then a loved one, a neutral being, and finally on someone you find challenging while generating feelings of appreciation, friendliness, grace, and love. For our practice, I chose to focus on ourselves, a loved being, and then a population of beings.

The Journey You Own Online Meditation Gathering is a free sitting meditation session to create a shared, supportive space that brings people from animal welfare together to explore grounding practices.

This one-hour session happens every last Thursday of the month, held online via Zoom. To register, please visit www.jyo.world/meditation-gathering. We hope to see you in the community of practice!
