Mindful self-compassion is the container of all the emotional work that we do. It contains multitudes and holds sacred space within you to heal yourself and your relationships.
But sometimes, it doesn't come easy to us. It may be easy to be compassionate, in the general sense, with the world, the Earth, and the people in your life.
However, it may be challenging to be self-compassionate and release our inner critic's domineering power.
Learning to be more self-compassionate is a process. We have to learn how to be good friends for ourselves and not just for others. We're not born knowing how to do it. Still, there are some strategies we can implement to start developing mindful self-compassion.
Dr. Erica Bove joins me today as we talk about this necessary topic. I have benefited a lot from her unique perspective, and our clients have benefited as well. I consider her a personal friend and a mentor.
We do an in-depth analysis of self-compassion, how to identify it, and how it gets worse before it gets better once you embark on this journey of awareness.
What we mention in this episode:
What you'll learn from it:
Self-compassion is not going to reduce your success. Quite the opposite. It will take you off in ways you didn’t even think were possible.
You just have to take the first step.
With love, Kavetha
