A majority of discussion related to high performance surrounds the preparation and performance itself, while relatively little dialogue exists on the downtime between performance. In this episode, Dr. Dehra Harris of the Toronto Blue Jays discusses the a unique concept in human performance she has been researching: down-regulation.

Why do high performers experience mental and emotional fatigue and burnout? And, how can they avoid it? Dr. Harris shares some techniques she has been implementing with her athletes to help them build skills that aid in down-regulation.
