SUMMARY:
Prayer can only be effective as we reach into the Lord and touch Him. Then you have God working through you to accomplish some aspect of the kingdom or to bring change in some way. In real prayer, we begin to think God's thoughts, to desire the things He desires, to love what He loves. When you do not have a revelation fro the Lord or confirmation, then it is better that you pray in the Holy Spirit by speaking in tongues.
SHOW NOTES:
- You can voice prayers in tongues, believing to minister the presence of the Lord to individuals or situations and know you are having an impact since you are channeling the Holy Spirit.
- Real prayer prays according to the will of God, which eliminates the opinions and desires of the one praying.
- Intercession is rendered ineffective by self-interest.
- Effective prayer is something we learn by humbly believing and seeking God with an open heart, then listening for His guidance.
- We have to know how to move in the Spirit, so after you've gone through the experience God wants you to go through in your times of intercession, you will know how the release was done.
QUOTATIONS:- I can pray God's perfect will with no reservations, knowing that my prayers are being heard and they are effective 100%, because they are being voiced by the Holy Spirit.
- It's very important that you pray right: that you don't make things up.
- There's many people that they have a situation and they begin to pray out of their own desires; what they think should happen in the situation; and that is the complete wrong way to pray.
- If you're gonna pray something that directed, you better have confirmation—supernatural confirmation from many voices—before you start directing the spirit realm.
- Praying is talking, it is communicating and it's relating to the Lord.
- I really believe that if a heart is open to God and very sincere before the Lord and is attempting to pray, the Lord will show him.
- About the principle of persistence—we know that the Lord taught parables about this, about prayer, about going before the unjust judge...God is not answering you necessarily because He likes you, or you're His best friend, but He's answering, sometimes because you're just plain old persistent.
