We get it, Hitchcock hates blondes, but boy o' boy what a picture. What if we kill Janet Leigh’s character (Marion Crane) in the first 45 minutes, put Norman Bates in a dress with serious mommy issues, and then have him carve up a private eye at the top of the stairs in one of the most iconic shots of the time? It's hard to believe that this film was released in 1960!
