#354: In the Invisible Gorilla experiment, observers were asked to watch a basketball game and count the number of times the ball was passed between members of the same team. In the middle of the game, a person in a gorilla suit walked across the court. When questioned about the gorilla after the game, only half of the observers said they saw the gorilla. The gorilla study illustrated that when we are hyper focused we can be blind to the obvious.
