This Sunday we examined Mark 4:35-41, the story where Jesus calms the storm, which may be one of the wildest stories about Jesus. Many of us may have heard the story so many times, seen so many cheesy saying about Jesus and our storms on coffee mugs, or scrolled past so many Instagram posts with flowery backgrounds and a cute font that we have perhaps become too familiar with this story. What do I mean? Well, the disciples are afraid of the storm, but when Jesus calms the storm they don't find peace. Instead they are even more terrified. Why? Check out the sermon.
