Description

The more you can get clear on your own personal form of fulfillment, the less likely you will compare yourself to others. And one of the ways to get really clear about what you want is by being vulnerable. These are some of the golden nuggets I got from Chip Conley during our conversation.

Chip Conley is a New York Times bestselling author and two times disruptor of the hospitality industry. When he was only 26 years old, he founded Joie de Vivre, which turned out to be the second-largest boutique hotel brand in America. In 2013, he became Head of Global Hospitality and Strategy for Airbnb. Chip believes that one of the most valuable things we can do is accelerate our wisdom by cultivating and harvesting it practically and actively. This is what he teaches today, among other skills, at Modern Elder Academy, the world’s first midlife wisdom school. Fame, self-worth, gut instincts, confidence, and the concept of alchemy are other topics discussed in this episode. Enjoy it.

“When you are in a vulnerable state, you get clear on what’s important to you. And when you are getting clear on what’s important to you, you are moving on a path, on a trajectory toward fulfillment.” -Chip Conley
