Description

Recently I was watching a TV show and there was a seen where the wife was standing in a very lush kitchen in a very fancy house. Her very busy (and important it would seem) husband walks into the kitchen in a suit, on the phone, talking loudly. He takes things out of the fridge and leaves things on the bench, and then leaves the house without acknowledging his wife.

A family friend or relative staying with the family then walks in, also on the phone. He takes something out of the fridge, then puts it away. He uses a cup, and the puts it in the dishwasher. He stops his phone call to say goodbye politely.

And the look on the woman's face said it all - it's the little things that matter most - and it's exactly the same with our team.

It's the recognition, the thank you, the acknowledgement and the interest in their lives out of work that matter more than the bonuses and gifts.
