UNFINISHED
Thought One:
Drive on through the rain
Whatever the pain.
At the end of the day
It is His way.
As I drive the highways
I often find
Thoughts of my ways
Litter my mind.
The byways of life
At times lead to strife.
Do I turn left or right
To take me through life.
Through the fog and haze
It is Jesus I praise.
He is never wrong.
He is my song.
Thought Two:
Let us now sing
Jesus is King
His name be praised
With our hands raised
Thought Three:
The end is near
The end of days
Though have no fear
Following His ways
The world
Has swirled
Cast adrift
From the rift
A Special Thought:
There was a schedule,
Surgery to be performed.
She was prepared,
Then words were spoken
Leaving her broken.
Her life had been blessed,
Children and grandchildren,
Family and friends always,
And always her Lord, Jesus
There were times of distress,
A loved one’s death.
Perhaps times of doubt,
But there was her Lord, Jesus.
As always she will pray
That He lead the way
Through each and every day
Walking with her Lord, Jesus.
Let us all pray
That in His loving embrace
She will know His healing grace
Throughout her days.

Yesterday I happened upon a music video of Simon and Garfunkel’s Sounds of Silence. I find it haunting and thought provoking. The thought of this poem have been in my mind for years. What will we find in the silence?
Jesus said, knock and the door shall be opened. As a nation we at some time shut the door. And so many ask where God is today and question His silence. My prayer today is that as a nation we are healed of the divisions in our lives, of the hatred for others, of our trust in our leaders, and as sheep having the wool pulled over our eyes. We ask why and where, but do we care? Lord God, Heavenly Father I pray for the healing of this country and the hearts and minds of its citizens.
I pray the we open the door, take it off the hinges and break it apart so it can never to be closed again. I pray Father in the name of Your son, our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus.
DO WE HEAR THE SILENCE
Amid the noise do we hear
The silence of the sound
That is only to be found
When to one we are near?
Voices today shout
And throw word about
Rights and wrongs.
Who writes these songs?
Death and destruction
Led us to obstruction
Of what was understood
To be sought after and good.
Today people take Him to task
As they have the audacity to ask,
“If You are a God of love,
Why not descend from above.”
Then a voice was heard
And He spoke these words,
“I have been here,
But you refuse to hear.
You did not want Me near
Because of your fear
The truth would be found
In the voices of the...
