Ascetics love God through solidarity, simplicity, and silence. You might be an ascetic if you regularly find yourself in the quiet places, practicing simplicity and minimalism, or often being alone. Jesus shows us often what it means to be an ascetic as he goes away to pray in solitude and silence.
