• Mixing personal and business finances
• Not paying yourself as the owner fairly once the business is making money
• Not reviewing reoccurring expenses and eliminating those you no longer need

• Keep up on your bookkeeping 
• Set reminders to review, keep up, and close quickly
• Close the month within 7-10 days of month end
