When Lily Scalf thought about moving from fashion illustration to designing her own clothes, she taught herself to sew, created a 12-piece collection that debuted in Indianapolis and was quickly invited to show at Paris Fashion Week. Now she's sharing her design knowledge, tailoring skills and a love for sustainable fabrics and processes with students of all ages, developing conscious consumers along the way.
