Welcome to the She Has the Audacity Podcast. This week I had the chance to hang out with the amazing Melissa Oziel. Melissa is a speech-language pathologist and works in the space of helping kids learn executive functioning skills.
After working for low-income communities in the Bronx, New York, Melissa moved to Ontario and launched her business, The Speech and Language Associates of Toronto. We often get her role confused with speech therapy. However, Melissa really takes the time to teach kids with ADHD the proper tools in order to communicate and express themselves properly. She also teaches the parents of kids with ADHD the proper tools in order to help their kids progress in their life.
Our conversation was really interesting because there is a lot we don't know as a population about ADHD and especially how it shows up in girls and women.
