SHINING WITH ADHD
EPISODE #124: Homework Success Starts With The Space
The Childhood Collective
8/16/2023
For children with ADHD, homework is often the *last* thing they want to do after school! This is likely due to differences in their executive functioning, and parents are often left to deal with the consequences. This is a recipe for fighting, distraction, and all-over discouragement... the struggle is real for our families when it comes to homework. Kids with ADHD need a special measure of support to accomplish what is expected of them. In this episode, we discuss how homework success starts with the space you curate, and we provide some of our favorite tips!
We are Lori, Mallory, and Katie. Lori and Mallory are child psychologists, and Katie is a speech language pathologist. If you’re not engaging with us on social, click the links below. We share ADHD parenting tools, tips, empathy (and a little humor!).
