On this episode, Jared talks about the recent executive order by President Trump. He announced the order against social media companies and their bias against conservatives. The order, which addresses the Communications Decency Act from 1996, specifically goes after a definition of Section 230 in relation to social media companies. This comes after Twitter has fact checked President Trump. Jared reviews what Section 230 says and what to expect.
Jared also talks about the recent events in Hong Kong. It’s concerning that Hong Kong is no longer independent from China. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo certified this back to Congress and it means that they must now decide what to do. The consequences could be interesting either way.
