On this week's episode of The Rural Woman Podcast™, you'll meet Christina Fordyce.
Christina grew up in the Willamette Valley as a homeschooler who one day aspired to grow her own garden. After graduating college in the midwest, she returned to her hometown to marry her childhood crush Graham - a farmer. She now co-owns Fordyce Farm inc. with her husband and father-in-law. The family farm has grown by leaps and bounds, now seeing the 4th generation of Fordyces running around in the strawberry fields.
Christina and Graham have two toddler sons they are raising while running the family business. Fordyce Farm inc. has been in operation since 1959 and incorporated the business in 2021. The Fordyce family stays very busy all year in their very diversified operation.
They offer u-pick and we-pick berries, a farm stand with local gifts and other produce, vegetable starts and nursery stock, baked goods with seasonal fruit, homemade ice cream and milkshakes, a pumpkin patch and corn maze in the fall, and now also Christmas trees.
