Many people are living life with a longing for positive affirmation from their fathers. The problem is how hard it is for them. A majority grew up without a dad around. Some had a dad who didn't understand the power of his words and never gave that gift to their children. Many times it's because our dads didn't get it from their dads.
The reality is our words are powerful as dads. Even if we don't have kids, those we mentor and lead need to feel the power of our words.
As men, we must learn the power of our words and how to use them to build others up, especially our own children.

- We show love by doing for others
- Most men are good at this and it is an important part
- Showing someone that they are important to you through your actions is an everyday way they can see your love

- Saying I love you or speaking life as we talked about earlier can be a struggle for men
- Maybe you never had anyone do it to you so you have to learn as you go
- It is worth the effort and hard work because it pays off huge with your kids
- Intentional love is something that is shown to each individual
- Love recognizes their individuality
- You love them not for who you want them to be but for who they are
SPEAK DIRECTION
- Kids lack wisdom and they need direction
- Direction has almost become two extreme options today
- There is almost a fear of people directing their kids and helping them with their life
- The other extreme is the helicopter mode
- These are actually two different types of control
