Today, The Weather’d View questions why U.S. policy toward Venezuela keeps drifting away from cracking down on drug trafficking and toward negotiating over oil. We hear constant messaging about stopping the flow of drugs into the country, yet the focus shifts whenever energy interests become part of the conversation.
If the goal is to confront the networks fueling the drug trade, why are we easing pressure on the governments connected to those same networks? The priorities don’t line up with the rhetoric. Bruce looks at how political and economic interests are reshaping the narrative — and why Americans are noticing the contradiction.

“The TV Remote”
The Crew takes aim at one of the dirtiest and most abused objects in every home: the TV remote. The remote is passed around, dropped, sat on, lost in the couch, and somehow always sticky—yet never actually cleaned. Everyone in the house denies causing the mystery stains, but everyone contributes to the wear and tear.
The buttons fade, the batteries die at the worst possible moments, and more often than not, you’re smacking the thing like an old radio hoping it will listen. The person who holds the remote silently controls the room, and everyone knows it.
