HOW LONG CAN A HUMAN LAST?
The human body runs on limits, about 3 minutes without oxygen, 3 days without water, and roughly 3 weeks without food. The longest verified sleep deprivation lasted 11 days, holding your breath unaided reached over 11 minutes, and one man walked more than 19,000 miles continuously from South America to Alaska. Even lifespan records push the boundary, with Jeanne Calment living to 122 years old.
A missed breath can kill us in minutes, yet the same body can survive weeks without food and endure pain, cold, and isolation far beyond what seems possible, when pushed, we’re a lot harder to break than we think.

THE KIMMEL CONUNDRUM
Mentalist Oz Pearlman pulled out of his scheduled appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live after backlash surrounding Kimmel’s “expectant widow” joke aimed at Melania Trump and the chaos surrounding the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. President Trump demanded ABC fire Kimmel immediately. Pearlman, who had just performed at the WHCD before shots rang out, wisely decided maybe this was not the best week for late-night comedy.
There’s a difference between sharp satire and gasoline on an already lit fire. When the joke lands two days before an actual shooting scare... Suddenly “it’s just comedy” sounds a lot less convincing.

IT’S THE ONLY WAY TO FLY
Air taxis are moving from sci-fi fantasy to real-world testing. Joby Aviation recently demonstrated electric vertical takeoff aircraft in New York, cutting what would be an hour-long commute down to under ten minutes. The catch? The company says the convenience could come at around the price of a premium rideshare, but early adoption will likely feel more like flying Uber for executives than public transportation.
Americans will absolutely complain that eggs cost too much and then spend $180 to skip freeway traffic. Time is now worth more than money for a lot of people. People won’t ask if it’s practical—they’ll ask if they can expense it. Traffic may finally be solved by simply flying over the people still stuck in it.
