The first time Jules saw Rachel Joy Barehl’s website, she knew that Rachel was the right person to photograph her wedding (and she did AMAZING btw). But the more we got to know her, the more we realized that she’s an even more amazing person! We chat about why it’s ridiculous to expect 18-year-olds to know what they want to do with their life, the value of taking some time for yourself after high school, learning to joyously express yourself, growing as an artist, what goes into taking a great photo beyond the technical aspects, and why we need to shift from taking photos of people’s bodies to taking photos of who people are being.
